Our Purpose leads us from Pontiac to Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Chicago, and points beyond.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Romans 13:12
Mission: To empower the people of at-risk communities by sharing Grace - God's Gift that we all aspire to - and by guiding them to a relationship with God."
What have we been trying for thousands of years? Pummeling criminals into oblivion? Destroying them for their sins and spreading anger and hatred among their families and our communities for generations thereafter? Something has to give. Something has to be done better. What if we fought crime the way that Jesus taught us to? With an unconditional love that we cannot fathom deserving ourselves?
We are the street ministry that serves the poor and the homeless - those who aren't getting into shelters. We are not a homeless shelter. We will tend to the poor, the weak, the homeless, and the hopeless. We will not only draw attention to their plight, but we will help guide them on a different path. We will bring the community together, not to highlight our differences, but to celebrate the one thing we all have in common: This Gift of Life that we have all been Given.
